1: Isle of dogs (2018)

“Isle of Dogs” is a stop motion movie created by the film company “Fox Searchlight Pictures,” with help from production company “Indian Paintbrush.” The movie’s budget was an estimated $20 million, and it was released on March 23, 2018.

The main characters in this story are Atari Kobayashi (Koyu Rankin), Chief (Bryan Cranston), and Spot (Greta Gerwig). There is also a pack of five alpha dogs that go by the names: King (Bob Balaban), Boss (Bill Murray), Duke (Jeff Goldblum), Rex (Edward Norton), and Chief. These alpha dogs, as well as the rest of the 12 dog cast, were all voiced by human voice actors.

The movie is set in the near future, where all dogs have been quarantined on Trash island because of a dog flu outbreak. Atari’s bodyguard-dog Chief tries to save him from the quarantine by taking him to the mainland for sushi. On the way, they meet up with five alpha dogs who help them escape. The group then came upon an oil refinery owned by Kobayashi Enterprises and destroyed it with their plane before returning home.

There is also not enough explanation about how Thelma comes to terms with her sexuality or why certain characters are so accepting of it.

Two actors sign on to help a cop rob the streets they’re supposed to protect; during this heist, we see far greed will drive someone and how quickly they’ll cross to the other side of the law.

9: The Devotion of Suspect X (2018)

Yasuko Hanaoka is a single mother trying to do her best with her young daughter and deaf son. It received negative reviews from critics who called it “a acted, instantly dated disaster that fails to produce thrills.” Even if you’ve never been in a situation like this, this movie might appeal to you if you’re tired of people who make promises they can’t keep or fail to stand up for their beliefs.
