“Extraction 2” continues the gripping saga of a black market mercenary named Tyler Rake, portrayed by Chris Hemsworth. Awakening in a hospital after a nine-month coma, he is immediately hurled back into another thrilling rescue mission without fully recuperating.
Though I typically don’t gravitate towards action films, this one completely shattered my expectations, and I’d like to tell you why…
As per the ratings on IMDB, the movie currently holds a 7.6 review score, which, I predict, will undoubtedly exceed that of the first installment.
The storyline is intricately detailed, and the cinematography is out of this world. The film’s opening cleverly bridges the gap to the 2020 prequel and skillfully weaves the evolving plot.
With 360-degree camera action tracing the high-speed thrills and a portrayal of combat so realistic that you may occasionally avert your gaze due to its intense gruesomeness, the cinematography alone is noteworthy.
If any film is poised to redefine the action genre, it’s unequivocally “Extraction 2”.
Admittedly, it does suffer from a slightly predictable plotline and a runtime of just two hours. But with the innovative shooting techniques and the highly engaging action sequences, you’ll feel as though the movie speeds by faster than the two-hour duration.
What do you think about the movie, let me know in the comments?
