Lady Duff-Gordon is the person who molded lingerie and lingerie modeling into what we know it to be today. She was a pioneer in the movement for developing lingerie that was much more comfortable and free than the traditional corsets women were wearing.

Rosie was born in 1987 in Plymouth, United Kingdom. Her career path is similar to that of other famous lingerie models who are Victoria’s Secret Angels. She began her modeling career at 15 years old but was generally unknown until her name blew up in 2008. 

It’s hard to find a lingerie modeling campaign that hasn’t included Rosie at one point or another. She officially became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2010, and her career only blossomed from there. She’s still modeling for major brands but has developed her own sleepwear line, Autograph, which has remained popular since its launch in 2012. She’s currently modeling with the Current Artists-Agency. 

2. Gisele Bündchen

You can’t mention famous models without the name Gisele Bundchen. This Brazilian lingerie model was born in Brazil in 1980. She began her modeling career at age 17 in 1997 and has since become one of the best bikini and lingerie models of all time. 

According to Forbes, she’s consistently been named one of the highest-paid models. As with many lingerie models, Gisele is a former Victoria’s Secret Angel who still models but also opens her own lingerie line called Gisele Intimates that’s headquartered in her hometown in Brazil. Gisele is currently signed with The Lions Management talent agency. 

3: Candice Swanepoel

Candice is a stunning lingerie model from Mooi River, South Africa. She was born in 1988, and her modeling career began in 2003. Candice has appeared in editorials in several countries, including the United States, Germany, Brazil, Russia, and more. Besides her modeling career, Candice Swanepoel is a budding philanthropist. 

In 2010, Candice earned her Victoria’s Secret Angel title and is still working with the brand to this day. Brazilian beauty, Adriana Lima, was born in Salvador, Brazil, in 1981. Her modeling career began in 1997, and she’s shown no signs of slowing down anytime soon. She was a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2000 until 2018, when she walked in her final VS fashion show. 

Adriana Lima has been recognized as wearing one of the unique fantasy bras while walking with Victoria’s Secret. Since 2014, Forbes has listed her as the second high-paid model of all time. Even if you don’t follow models, you’ve heard the name Heidi Klum. Heidi was born in 1978 in Germany. Her modeling career began when she was 18 in 1991. She’s arguably the most famous Victoria’s Secret model of all time. She’s modeled for dozens of brands, and while she’s mostly left modeling, she’s still pursuing other career paths.

During the beginning of her lingerie modeling career, her hourglass frame was something that wasn’t seen before in that world, and she was admired for it. Stunning Israeli lingerie model Shlomit Malka was born in Israel in 1993. Her modeling career began in 2011, and she’s still active in the modeling world. She’s one of Intimissimi’s latest “it” girls and is on the radar of every major lingerie brand in the world.

She was the first Australian Angel in history.

Bettie Page is the original pinup queen and gained all her fame in the 1950s for constantly posing for pinup photoshoots. Back then, this was almost unheard of, so maybe she wasn’t famous at the time and more infamous. Unfortunately, the world lost Bettie Page in 2008 at the age of 85.

Of course, she’s modeled more than just lingerie, and that’s why she’s been recognized as an international supermodel of her generation. There are only six other models who’ve received this title.

With her international success in the modeling world, Naomi Campbell took it upon herself to start her own lingerie company. She offered a limited edition lingerie line with Yamamay. 18: Doutzen Kroes

Dutch lingerie model, Doutzen Kroes, was born in the Netherlands in 1985. She began her modeling career in 2003 when her modeling agency in the Netherlands quickly noticed her talents and sent her to New York City. From there, she was quickly cast as a model for Victoria’s Secret. 

Doutzen worked with the company for four years before earning her wings as a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2008 until 2014. She’s still modeling for major fashion brands but is working in film and with her philanthropies that she holds near and dear to her heart. As of today, Doutzen Kroes is signed with DNA Models. 

19: Stephanie Seymour

You may know Stephanie Seymour as the face of Christian Dior and Valentino, but before she made waves with these two brands, she was a model that helped build Victoria’s Secret into the major lingerie brand it is today-born in 1968 in California. Her career began in 1983. 

When Victoria’s Secret was just starting out, Stephanie signed to the, at the time, a new brand in 1992. She stayed modeling for the lingerie company until 1999. Prior to that, she was regularly featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues. She’s even had the privilege to pose for the famous Playboy brand at least one time. Stephanie Seymour is signed to IMG Models at this time.

20: Jasmine Tookes

Last but certainly not least is model Jasmine Tookes. Born in California in 1991, Jasmine’s modeling career began in 2010 when she earned her first commercial pieces for major clothing brands. In 2012, she was one of the 11 new models that Victoria’s Secret welcomed on board for their annual fashion show. 

After walking with Victoria’s Secret in 2012, she was appointed as an official Victoria’s Secret Angel three years later in 2015. She’s not only turned heads while walking the runway but in their catalogs as well. Her career is more than just lingerie, though. She’s modeled for Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, Prada, and so much more.
