Brad Kelly, renowned as the star of Discovery Channel’s “Bering Sea Gold,” has found himself facing a prison sentence as a result of a plea deal reached in connection with a disturbing domestic violence incident in Alaska. This case, reported by TMZ, sheds light on the unfortunate turn of events involving the reality TV personality.

The incident that led to Kelly’s arrest unfolded in February, when he was accused of assaulting a woman with whom he shares a child. According to law enforcement, medical professionals at the time reported that the woman had sustained severe injuries, deemed life-threatening, as a result of a blow to her head.

Details from the police report, obtained by TMZ, indicate that the woman recounted an argument with Kelly, which she followed by retiring to sleep. To her horror, she awoke to find Kelly standing over her in a distressing scene, surrounded by her own blood.

Kelly’s version of events contrasted sharply with the woman’s account, as he claimed that she had fallen and injured herself by striking her head on a table. Nonetheless, authorities arrested and subsequently charged him with second-degree assault related to domestic violence.

As a consequence of the plea deal, Brad Kelly has been handed a prison sentence of four years, with three of those years being suspended. His legal counsel suggests that, given good behavior during his incarceration, Kelly could be eligible for release after serving eight months. However, upon his release, he will be subject to a five-year probationary period.

Presently, corrections officials have confirmed that Kelly has been in custody since February 11, but they are refraining from providing a projected release date.
